MikroMax™ High Performance Ring & Pinions

MikroMax performance ring and pinions are engineered using the most innovative technology and rigorous testing available. The gear sets are CNC’d start to finish with cutting edge lapping, indexed tooth spacing, central contact pattern, and go through a computerized heat treatment. The gears are then subjected to our patented Mikronite® surface finishing process that strengthens, smoothes and polishes to enhance their performance.

The Mikronite process is based on a simple concept of applying lapping-like scratching under extremely high compression. The gears are placed in a fluidized medium containing an abrasive in a specially designed reverse centrifugal accelerating agitator. The result is a very smooth, lustrous finish that reduces friction, rear end operating temperatures and increases rear wheel horsepower. The Mikronite process also imparts “residual compressive stresses” into the surface and near-surface substrate to increase strength and durability.
